Organizational Inclusion Assessment Toolkit
The Organizational Inclusion Assessment Toolkit (OIA Toolkit) has four assessment tools and a comprehensive users manual. A 35-item survey collects numerical data that categorize an organization into one of five stages ranging from least to most inclusive. The toolkit also has two interview tools. One is a form used to collect data from individual interviews with an organization's leadership, managers, and diversity pioneers. The second is used for collecting focus group interview data from representatives of identity groups within the organization. The fourth tool, the Cultural Competence Human Capital survey, determines individual and organization wide ability to competently interact with members across cultural differences.

The OIA Toolkit offers the benefits of identifying an organization's stage of inclusion, interview data that offers insights into understanding the stage of inclusion, and interventions needed to move the organization to the next higher stage.

This toolkit has been tried and tested. The University of Texas, Cook Incorporated, and Western Michigan University are a few examples of customers. The results from the Western Michigan University study were featured in the annual conference for Michigan Association for Evaluation (march 29, 2007).
